What should you consider when buying a new home?
Imagine the beginning and review the details
A brand-new home lets you begin a new chapter in a property that has not been used before. Weigh that possibility alongside its location, specifications and handover terms.
Understand what the home includes
A new home may appeal to you if you want to plan the furniture and use of its spaces from the start. Review the actual layout and which finishes or equipment are included at handover.
If the project is under development, ask about its stage and the documents supporting the proposal. Distinguish illustrative images from the elements and terms that will be agreed for your unit.
Prepare for what comes next too
Include any equipment you need to add, utilities, moving and maintenance in your budget. Buying new does not remove upkeep responsibilities or guarantee that all options have the same ongoing costs.
Ask about the handover process, after-sales support and applicable warranties. Compare these aspects with other housing options based on your needs and schedule.
- Review the floor plan and specifications.
- Confirm the development stage and handover terms.
- Budget for furnishings and setting up your home.
